The researchers aim to address the practical problems of routine umbilical cord blood sampling, determine the ranges for pH, pCO2 and Base Deficit, and to examine the relationships of these parameters between cord vessels. It discussed important aspects of cord blood gas analysis, arterial fetal acidosis, cases with similar arterial but different venous values, the duration of metabolic acidosis, and etc.
