Requirements: “Has worked in the OR at least 5 years either as a scrub or a surgical assistant. CPR certified. Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy and physiology relating to surgical procedures. Displays ability to relate knowledge to assist the surgeon. Responsible for maintaining a visible, working, surgical field, and under the direction of the surgeon, ties, cuts and sutures tissue. Assists in providing patient safety. Responsibility for complete case preparation. Demonstrates and promotes teamwork. Stays current and completes compete”
