Psychiatrist Needed! $115,000 – $160,000 per year DOE & Negotiable (Willing to provide relocation assistance for out of area candidates.
The company provided healthcare and mental health services either directly or with subcontracted health care organizations to those entrusted in our care at our corrections and detention facilities.
As a Psychiatrist with our company job responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to: * Evaluates and treats inmates demonstrating signs of mental illness. * Supervises nursing staff providing mental health services. * Responsible for overall psychiatric direction of the mental health program. * Supervises clinical activities and medical personnel while on duty. * Evaluates all patients referred for presence of mental illness. * Treats all patients requiring psychiatric intervention. * Refers patients as necessary. * Reviews and adjusts as necessary all maintenance medications at a minimum of once each 30 days. * Provides emergency psychiatric care as required. * Provides in-service education for medical and correctional staffs as requested. * Documents all services provided in the patient’s medical file. * Participates in review of the quality of care provided. * Performs other duties as assigned Skill and experience requirements include: * Graduate of an accredited medical school with specialty training in psychiatry. * Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Mississippi. * One (1) year of clinical experience.
