The following article contain physician clinical guideline for the diagnosis and management of early rheumatoid arthritis
(RA) which is issued by the NHRMC Australian leading funding body for health and medical research. The guideline focuses on the diagnosis and management of adults with early stage RA.
This guideline aims to provide recommendations to assist primary care physician or professionals to prevent and minimise joint damage, minimise functional loss, minimise pain and improve quality of life. It is hoped that it provide optimal, evidence based care for adult patients over 16 years of age presenting with symptoms indicative of RA.
In the depth of the guidelines, it contains algorithm diagnosis of early rheumatoid arthritis, algorithm diagram of early RA management, and RA early diagnosis and management simplified algorithm. Also, describes pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for RA.
