The folowing physician guideline provides direction for the management of children with sickle cell disease who present 
to the emergency department with complications of their condition (Acute Painful Episodes, Fever, Acute Chest Syndrome or Pneumonia).
You will be prensented with sections such General Recommendations for the Management of Paediatric Sickle Cell Disease, Guideline for Acute Painful Episode (Vaso Occlusive Disease), the management risk of overwhelming septicemia, Antimicrobial Therapy Guidelines, Acute Chest Syndrome or Pneumonia Management Guideline, and Monitoring Guidelines for Patients Receiving Intravenous Opioid Analgesia (with sedation score).
