Description: Hospitalist locum tenens job opportunity in Illinois! Are you looking for an excellent program to be involved with on a locum tenens basis? This position could be the perfect place for you! This state-of-the-art facility, within driving distance of Chicago, has an immediate need for hospitalist coverage due to rapid growth of their program. They are very flexible with the schedule and are ultimately looking for physicians that can help fill in the open shifts each month; typically about 10-14 shifts. This need is mainly for day shift coverage of 12 hours, but there are also some night shifts available which are 14 hours in length. Clinical procedures include general hospital rounds, discharges, and admits. There is little to no ICU work required and the hospitalist will not respond to codes. Must have BCLS and ACLS and be board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine. If you’re the right candidate, there is always the possibility of a permanent contract being offered.
